| | | Ann Marie Swanson was born February 11, 1942 to Eric and Lucille (Olson) Swanson in Triumph, Minnesota. She attended school in Trimont and was a 1960 Graduate of Tri-Mont High School. Ann Marie then attended Mankato State College graduating in 1964. She taught for two years 3rd Grade for Waseca Public School. Ann Marie was hired by the Mankato Public Library as a Librarian where she was employed for many years. She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Trimont and attended Evangelical Covenant Church in North Mankato. In her youth, Ann Marie was an accomplished piano player and singer where she played and sang in her church. She greatly enjoyed attending her Bible Study. Since November of 2007, she has been a resident of Mankato House Health Care Center in Mankato.
Ann Marie passed away on Wednesday morning, April 16, 2008, at the Mankato House Health Care Center in Mankato, Minnesota, at the age of 66.
Survivors include her sister, Peggy Diercks and husband, Eugene, of Stillwater, Minnesota; brothers, Terry Swanson of Mankato, Minnesota and Michael Swanson and wife, Lois, of Fairmont, Minnesota; nieces and nephews; aunt, Mildred Olson of Golden Valley, Minnesota; and other relatives and friends.
Ann Marie was preceded in death by her parents,sister-in-law, Kathryn Swanson and other relatives.
Private Family Burial was held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in rural Trimont.
