Gary Ross Rahm was born May 3, 1943 to Ivan and Jackie (Wetenkamp) Rahm at Fairmont, Minnesota. He graduated from Tri-Mont High School in the class of 1961. Gary was employed at Railway Motors in Fairmont from 1966 until his retirement in 1998. On September 2, 1967, he was united in marriage to Rita Nordstrom at the United Methodist Church in Trimont , Minnesota. After their marriage they lived in Fairmont until moving to Northrop and later back to Fairmont. Gary was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont and was involved with the Christmas Tree Program at Grace Lutheran for many years. He greatly enjoyed taking care of his granddaughters, having coffee with his friends. In his spare time he spent gardening, taking trips to Morton, going to auctions, collecting antiques and Minnesota Gopher Hockey. Gary also did lawn work in the area for many years.

Gary died on Wednesday morning, November 26, 2008, at Fairmont Medical Center in Fairmont, Minnesota, at the age of sixty-five years.
 
Survivors include his two children, son, Darin (Shannon) Rahm of Fairmont, Minnesota, daughter, Dana Rahm of Fairmont, Minnesota; three grandchildren, Abby, Erin and Anna Rahm; mother, Jackie Rahm of rural Trimont, Minnesota; sister, Sharon Koch of Sacramento, California; brothers, Joel (Myrna) Rahm of Trimont, Minnesota, Brian (Vicky) Rahm of Auburrn, Washington and Charles Rahm of Estherville, Iowa: many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
 
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Rahm; niece, LeAnn “Rahm” Meyer and other relatives.

Interment will be in Waverly Lutheran Cemetery in rural Trimont, Minnesota.
