| | | Lucille Pearl Roeker was born March 3, 1943 on the family farm in rural McLeod County to Louis and Olga (Reinitz) Thiesfeld. She attended Emmanuel Lutheran School in Hamburg; Glencoe High School and Beauty School in Mankato.
She married Garry Roeker on June 24, 1962 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg, MN. They resided in various places including rural Janesville, Arlington, St. Clair and currently in rural Sherburn.
While living in Arlington and St. Clair, Lucy owned and operated her own Beauty Shop out of her home. For the past 17 years, Lucy worked at Avery Weigh-Tronix where she was a dedicated and hardworking employee in the Weigh Bar Room. Her hobbies included bowling, coin collecting, cooking and baking, and playing games with her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was especially devoted to her grandchildren; Courtney, Mallory, and Brittney Mosloski and Ryan and Allyssa Roeker. Every year Lucy and Garry traveled to Harlingen, Texas to vacation and spend time with their daughter. She greatly enjoyed her lifelong dream of going to Hawaii in the summer of 2007. Aloha!
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Garry of Sherburn, Minnesota; daughters, Pamela Mosloski and husband, Kevin, of Fairmont, Minnesota and Sheila Roeker of Harlingen, Texas; son, Wade Roeker and wife, Kimberly, of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; grandchildren Courtney, Mallory, and Brittney Mosloski and Ryan and Allyssa Roeker; sister, Lorene Dreier of Watertown, South Dakota; sister-in-law Carol Thiesfeld of Pine River; as well as her mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
