Ann McBride was born on August 24, 1929 to John and Kathleen (Hendricks) McBride in Graettinger, Iowa. She attended school in Graettinger until moving with her family to Ayrshire, Iowa. She attended school in Ayrshire until moving with her family to Sherburn. Ann was employed at the Red Owl Store in Sherburn. On October 2, 1951, she was united in marriage to Bernard Lutterman at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn, Minnesota. After their marriage they lived at their present home just outside of Alpha. Ann was employed at the Alpha Meat Locker. She was a member of the Church of Good Shepherd, it’s CCW, served at one time on it’s Parish Council, Life and Worship Committee and on it’s Prayer Chain, her faith was very important. Her family was very special to her and because of her Irish Hertiage, Ann looked forward to St. Patrick’s Day and Daniel O’ Donnell. Ann greatly enjoyed canning, playing cards especially ’Canasta”, collecting Angles and Irish memorabilia. She also voluntered for the heart fund and can be remembered for her great sense of humor.

On Thursday afternoon, April 16, 2009, Ann went to be with her Lord and Savior at Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington, Minnesota at the age of seventy-nine years.

Ann is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Bernard “Benny” Lutterman of Rural Alpha, Minnesota; daughters, Jacalynn Lutterman of Kona, Hawaii, Roberta (Michael) Kruger of Pipestone, Minnesota; sons, Bernard Jr. (Julie) Lutterman of Glidden, Wisconsin, Michael (Shara) Lutterman of Eugene, Oregon, Terrence Lutterman of Kona, Hawaii and Sean Lutterman of Jackson, Minnesota; seven, grandchildren, Jennifer Schmidt, Erin Lutterman, Patrick Kruger, Lucas Kruger, Holly Kruger, Theresa Lutterman and Kurt Lutterman; six great-grandchildren, Joshua Schmidt, Cory, Schmidt, Devin Schmidt, Tyler Schmidt, Logan Schmidt and Aela Findley; sister, Mary (Vitus) Terveer of Ayrshire, Iowa; brother, Donald (Betty) McBride of Lake Park, Iowa; brother-in-law, Vernon (Charlotte) Lutterman of Dodge Center, Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Ambrose, Alice Sokoloski, Marianne Lutterman, Irene Lutterman and Ruth Lutterman all of Sherburn, Minnesota, Agnes (Vyrn) Brandt of Worthington, Minnesota; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, son, Patrick Lutterman on July 31, 1971;daughter-in-law, Gemma Lutterman; brothers, John McBride Jr. and infant brothers, Richard and James; sisters, Catherine Crocoll and Delores Rouse and other relatives and friends.
Interment will be in St. Luke's Catholic Cemetery in rural Sherburn, Minnesota.
