| | | Ryan George Rohman was born on October 15, 1953 to LeRoy and Mavis (Olsen) Rohman in St. James, Minnesota. He attended and later was a 1972 graduate of Tri-Mont High School. Ryan then was employed by his father and uncle, LeRoy and Lyle Rohman, as a truck driver at Rohman Truck hauling livestock and freight. On May 1, 1976, he was united in marriage to Fairy Timm at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn, Minnesota. After their marriage, Ryan continued driving truck for Rohman Truck. Inl 1981, LeRoy took over the freight trucking business and was in partnership with Ryan. In 1983, Ryan took over full ownership of Rohman Truck from his father. He owned and operated Rohman Truck until August of 2008 when he sold the truck business to Valley Cartage due to ill health. Ryan enjoyed going to see his sons, Jason and Shane, at St. Cloud State football games where Shane played as a linebacker. He also enjoyed playing billards, playing golf and watching the Minnesota Twins on television. Spending time with his granddaughter was very important to him.
On Wednesday morning, May 27, 2009, Ryan died at Fairmont Medical Center in Fairmont, Minnesota at the age of fifty-five years.
Survivors include his two sons, Jason Rohman of Eden Prairie, and Shane Rohman of Minneapolis; granddaughter, Serene Rohman of Eden Prairie; mother, Mavis Rohman of Trimont; brothers, Monte and Shirley Rohman of Truman, and Luane Rohman of Edina; sister, Mary Rohman Kuhl and husband, Robert Kuhl of St. Paul; nieces and nephews, Paige, Megan and Brooks (Sarah) Rohman, Eric, Nick and Ellen Rohman, Avery Kuhl; aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Ryan is preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Rohman; grandparents, Edwin and Clara Rohman and Harvey and Erma Olsen and other relatives and friends.
Interment will be in St. Luke's Catholic Cemetery in Sherburn, Minnesota
