Robert Emil Pavich was born on October 24, 1934 to Michael and Anna (Yavor) Pavich in Itasco County, Minnesota. He attended Trout Lake Country school and later attended Grand Rapids High School. Robert grew up in rural Bovey. In 1954 he entered the United States Army serving in Germany and later was honorable discharged in 1959. On April 25, 1959 he was united in marriage to Ruth Mae Janssen at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. After their marriage, they lived in rural Calumet where Robert worked in the Iron Mines. He was employed for Butler Brothers in Cooley, M.A. Hanna Company and National Tac in Keewatin. Robert retired in 1994 and was a hobby farmer. On September 17, 2001 they moved to Sherburn, Minnesota to be closer to family. Robert was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn. He was President of Greenway Snowmobile Club at one time and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Pengilly, Minnesota. Together, Robert and Ruth enjoyed setting up auctions and living in there motor home. Robert enjoyed Deer Hunting, Fishing and going to auctions.
On Thursday morning, July 30, 2009, Robert died at the Fairmont Medical Center in Fairmont at the age of seventy-four years.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Sherburn, Minnesota; daughter, Debby Pavich of Roanake Rapids, North Carolina; son, Steven (Shelley) Pavich of Ceylon, Minnesota; four grandchildren; brothers, Peter (D.Ruth) Pavich of Pengilly, Minnesota and Bill (Francis) Pavich of Bovey, Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Darlene Pavich of Marble, Minnesota, Judith Nielson and Linda (Dennis) Hoppe both of Trimont,Minnesota, Wendy (Dennis) Beaulieu of Babbit, Minnesota, Penny (Tom) Claussen and Sharon (Doyle) Moeller both of rural Sherburn; mother-in-law, Mary (Paul) Groskreutz of Sherburn; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, son, David Pavich, daughter, Kathryn Pavich, brothers, Nick, Jack and Emil Pavich; sisters, Virginia and Helen and other relatives and friends.

**Burial with full military honors by the Marinoff-Miskovich Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8831 of Pengilly in Lakeview Cemetery in Coleraine, Minnesota with Father Lloyd Mudrak officiating at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2009.
