| | | Wilhelmina “Susie” Murphy, age 92, of Omro, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008, at Care Partners in Winneconne. Susie was born February 9, 1916, in Athens, Wisconsin to Paul and Marie Pawlowski. On January 13, 1940, she marred Alexander “Mickey” Murphy. They moved to Omro in 1970.
Susie is survived by her son, Alexander (Viola) Murphy, Jr., of Milwaukee; her daughter Patricia Recore of Ladysmith; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her son in law, Gerald Gajewski of Mequon; sisters, Dorothy (Roy) Maker of Edmond, OK, Betty Hardy of San Diego, CA, and Anne Luensman, of Exlond, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Radke, her second husband, Mickey Murphy; daughter, Virginia Gajewski, son in law, Thomas Recore; and nine sisters and brothers.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 25, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Mattern officiating. Susie will be laid to rest in the Omro Cemetery. A memorial is being established in Susie’s name.
