| Clements, Shirley J. RENSSELAER Shirley J. Cook Clements, 72 years old, of Homestead Avenue, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Shirley resided in Rensselaer for many years and was employed by the State of New York. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph's Church in Rensselaer attending St. John's Church for many years. She was a member of the Hudson Mohawk Ladies Auxiliary Fire Department. She enjoyed her best times with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wife of the late George T. Clements; mother of George T. Clements Jr. of Rensselaer and the late Raymond Clements; grandmother of Cheryl, Crystal, John and Charlene Clements; great-grandmother of Sophie Jean Wendeborn and Madalyn Frances Wendeborn; mother-in-law of Frances Radley; dear friend of the Foust family. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, Friday morning at 9:00 and 10:00 at St. John's Church, Herrick Street, Rensselaer where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Lung Association, 3 Winners Circle, Albany, NY 12205.
