| Thompson, Betty Lou RENSSELAER Betty Lou Harris Thompson, age 82 years, of Diamond Avenue, passed away with her husband at her side Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Betty Lou was a resident of North Greenbush for approximately 30 years and was employed as a secretary for Farm Credit Services. She was a member and organist at the Broadway United Methodist Church in Rensselaer. Betty Lou would like to sew and crochet and was an avid NY Yankee baseball fan but her biggest joy was in helping others. Beloved wife of Ralph P. Thompson, whom she married on June 11, 1949; also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, Saturday morning at 10:30. All are welcome to attend. There will be no evening calling hours. Interment will be in Bloomingrove Cemetery, Defreestville. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Broadway United Methodist Church, 1550 Broadway, Rensselaer, NY 12144 or to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204 | ||
