| | | Funeral services for Marjorie Bernice Conder will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, at the Alva First Baptist Church with Dr. Greg Hook officiating. Interment will be 4:00 p.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.
Marjorie Bernice Conder, daughter of the late Leaon Arnold and Vival Gertrude (Davis) Griswold, was born September 8, 1928, at Naples, Oklahoma, and passed away July 22, 2008, at Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 79 years, 10 months, and 14 days.
Marjorie attended school in California before graduating from Alex High School in Alex, Oklahoma. On May 24, 1947, she was united in marriage to George E. Conder at Burkburnett, Texas. They lived in Silo for many years before moving to Alva in 2005.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cloudy, Oklahoma. She really enjoyed cooking for her family and helping with Masonic Lodge functions. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family and watching their activities.
Marjorie is survived by two sons, T. D. Conder and wife, Deborah, of Loco, Oklahoma, and Terry Conder and wife, Tracey, of Alva; one daughter, Vival McCarty and husband, Herbert, of Denton, Texas; five grandchildren, Dustin McCarty and wife, Tracy, of Denton, Texas, Brandi Lipkin and husband, Gary, of Velma, Oklahoma, Jennifer Covington of Loco, Oklahoma, Taleesha Conder of Talahina, Oklahoma, and Tayler Conder of Alva; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Share Hospice.
