| | | Bessie Marie Cellan, daughter of James H. And Opal (Rauch) Martin, was born February 10, 1946, in Alva, Oklahoma, and passed away after an extended illness February 3, 2005, at Share Convalescent Center in Alva at the age of 58 years, 11 months, and 23 days.
She lived with her grandparents before moving with her family to Waynoka. She attended school at Rose Valley and Waynoka. On December 20, 1980, she was united in marriage to Glenn Cellan in Waynoka. They made their home in Alva. She loved to piece quilts, crochet and go to garage sales.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Robert Walls; and her step-son, Jimmy Cellan.
Bessie is survived by her husband, Glenn Cellan, of Alva; one sister, Susan Goodman and her husband, Don, of Liberal, Kansas; one brother, Gordon Martin of Texas; one uncle Ralph Rauch and his wife, Betty, of Enid; one aunt, Ruby Baker of Waynoka; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2005, at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Shaw officiating. Interment will be in the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral home of Alva.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Share Convalescent Center Activity Fund.
