| | | Isaac E. “Jr.” Bradford, son of the late Isaac E. and Beulah (Tabors) Bradford, was born August 21, 1929, at Durham, Oklahoma, and passed away March 3, 2005, at Share Medical Center in Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 75 years, 6 months, and 12 days.
Jr. attended school at Durham, Burns Flat, and Canute. On May 31, 1947, he was united in marriage to Irona Cruze at Cheyenne, Oklahoma. They lived on a farm north of Carter, Oklahoma until they moved to Waynoka in 1950. In 1968 they moved to the farm southeast of Waynoka. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, in the oilfield industry, for Woods County and farmed. He also served as the Woods County Commissioner for 20 years.
He was a hard working man all of his life who loved his family. The highlight of his life each year was the family reunion he held for his family.
He was a member of the Elm and Murrow Church of Christ.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Peggy Louise Bradford; 5 brothers, Charlie Bradford, Otis Bradford, J. D. Bradford, W. T. Bradford, and Carl Bradford; 5 sisters, Nancy Potter, Minnie Means, Frances Newlin, Stella Davis, and Dolly Bradford; and two infant siblings.
Jr. is survived by his wife, Irona, of Waynoka; four sons, Richard Bradford and his wife, Susan, of Waynoka, Jerry Bradford and his wife, Deborah, of Longdale, Boyd Bradford and his wife, Lola, of Waynoka, and Troy Bradford and his wife, Cindy, of Waynoka; one daughter, Mary Rohla and her husband, Dick, of Chester; two brothers, Bud Bradford and his wife, Lois, of Emporia, Kansas, and James Bradford and his wife, Lorine, of Enid; and two sisters, Mary Kelly of Gentry, Arkansas, and Martha Brigham of Kerrville, Texas.
Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, Joy Trammell and her husband, Ronnie, of Chester, Dustin Bradford of Oklahoma City, Erick Bradford of Oklahoma City, Charles Rohla and his wife, Andrea, of Stillwater, Vonnie Beachem and her husband, Devon, of Enid, Travis Rohla of Chester, Spring Phelps and her husband, Dane, of Perkins, Joe Bradford and his wife, Kasady, of Alva, Matt Bradford and his wife, Kasi, of Bartlesville, Kellie Bradford of Waynoka, Jodie Bradford of Waynoka, and Tayler Bradford of Waynoka; eight great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Waynoka EMTs.
