| | | Dennis Rex Bolar, son of the late Lonnie Roscoe and Bessie Clowie (Borden) Bolar, was born October 31, 1946 at Gassville, Arkansas and passed away at his home in Waynoka on April 4, 2005 at the age of 58 years, 5 months, and 4 days.
Dennis Rex attended school in Waynoka. After school he joined the National Guard and later transferred to the United States Army, serving 6 years. He returned to Waynoka and was united in marriage to Sara Jane Cell. To this union three children were born, Lynn, Pebbles, and Lonnie. Dennis Rex worked as a heavy equipment operator and later moved to Freedom and worked for the Woods County District II for ten years.
On April 9, 1983, Dennis Rex married Sharlotte Crawford and to their marriage they had a daughter, Myka Bolar. Dennis Rex was self employed and ran their business for 7 years before finishing out his career as a heavy equipment operator. He was recently baptized at the Church of God in Waynoka and was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and watching the Nascar races on Sunday afternoons.
Besides his parents, Dennis Rex was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Jerald Bolar, one sister, Patricia Hunkapiller, and one granddaughter, Shadow Bolar.
He is survived by his wife, Sharlotte, and a niece, Jessica Kopf, of the home; two sons, Lynn Bolar and his wife, Xantippe, of Freedom, Lonnie Bolar and his wife, Tamara, of Freedom; two daughters, Pebbles Luddington and her husband, Ky, of Freedom, and Myka Seiger, and her husband, Waylon, of Waynoka.
Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, Luke and Lance Burton, Talem Cook, Matt, Shaleigh and Dalton Terry, Laryn and Hank Luddington, Destanee and Bronc Bolar, and Shelby Seiger; three nieces, Amy, Kasey and Nancy Barnes; other relatives and friends.
At the request of the family, the casket will remain closed. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Waynoka E.M.T.âs or the American Cancer Society.
