Wayne Martin Bouma, son of the late Martin and Myrtle S. (Barnes) Bouma, was born September 8, 1918, at Ord, Nebraska, and passed away June 24, 2005, at Beadles Nursing Home in Alva, at the age of 86 years, 9 months, and 16 days.

During his early childhood, Wayne moved with his family to the Waynoka, Oklahoma area where he lived for the remainder of his life. He graduated from Waynoka High School in 1936. He served in the military during WWII.

Wayne was united in marriage to Virginia Kragh on July 27, 1941. To this union, two daughters were born. He married Flossie Stallings in 1966.

He was a member of the Waynoka First Christian Church, a retired farmer and was a collector of old clocks, interested in welding and loved to drive his caterpillar to dig ponds.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie.

Wayne is survived by two daughters, Ayn Lamke and her husband, Bud, of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Diann Benson and her husband, Rusty, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; a special friend, Ruth Sharp, of Waynoka, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Michael Lamke and Rebecca Lamke, both of Yukon, Oklahoma and Candace Benson, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at the First Baptist Church with Reverend Aaron Nutter officiating. Interment will be in the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Diabetes Research or the Beadles Nursing Center Activity Fund.
