VIEW/SEND CONDOLENCES
| | | Cameron James Carey, son of Michael and Jamie Carey, was born January 10, 2001 in Oklahoma City, and passed away July 13, 2005 at his home in Yukon, Oklahoma, at the age of 4 years, 6 months, and 3 days.
He was dedicated at the Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City which he attended regularly. He was very excited to see his new baby sister and help around the house with her. This summer he enjoyed swimming in the back yard and riding his motorcycle and bike. He liked to watch cartoons and loved his nightly Power Rangers movie. He enjoyed doing Karate and one day wanted to be a champion. He especially loved playing with his friends Braden, TJ, and Ryann and would flirt with his girlfriends Mandaline, Emme, and Sarah when he got the chance. He looked forward to playing Champ Chump with his Auntie Mouse when in Alva. His most loved toys were all boys’ favorites: Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, Spiderman and recently Star Wars. He enjoyed watching movies when he got the chance; his favorites he watched over and over were Toy Story, Power Rangers and Sponge Bob Square Pants.
Cameron overcame more obstacles in 4 years than some will in a lifetime. Although he left us at an early age he never once gave up his fight against cancer. He was bound and determined to fight off the bad guy and not have to visit the nurses at the clinic. He was an inspiration to us all. He learned to never give up and always trust and follow the Lord.
Cameron is survived by his parents, Michael and Jamie Carey, of Yukon, Oklahoma; his sister, Madison Carey, of Yukon, Oklahoma; his Mima and Papa, Jim and Susan Ferguson, of Alva; his Grandfather, Bill Carey, of Searcy, Arkansas; one Great Grandmother, Mildred Ferguson, of Alva; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by one Grandmother, Anita Carey.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm. Saturday, July 16, 2005, at The First Baptist Church in Alva , Oklahoma . Internment will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. The casket will be closed at the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cameron Carey Love Fund at Alva State Bank to help go towards Medical and Funeral expenses.
