Graveside services for Delbert Dwaine Jones will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the Galena Cemetery with Rev. Ken Higgins of the Waynoka Church of God officiating. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC.

Delbert Dwaine Jones, son of the late Tom E. and Cora (Parsons) Jones, was born July 21, 1933, at Belva, Oklahoma, and passed away June 17, 2009, at his home in Burden, Kansas, at the age of 75 years, 10 months, and 26 days.

Dwaine attended several schools in Oklahoma and Kansas, including Seiling School. He then served in the United States Army where he served in Germany. He worked on the Cowley County road crew as a flagger, mower and tree trimmer. He also mowed, repaired small engines and sharpened chain saws. On May 30, 1992, he was united in marriage to Billie Jo Garber and Burden, Kansas.

He enjoyed visiting with his friends at the coffee shop.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Dwaine is survived by his wife, Billie, of Burden, Kansas; one daughter, Melissa Marie Jones; two brothers, Gene Jones and wife, Audry, of Seiling, Oklahoma, and Bill Jones of Oakley, Kansas; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
