| | | Funeral services for Irvin Allen Mullins will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at the Waynoka First Christian Church with Rev. Charles Newton officiating. Interment will be in the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC.
Irvin Allen Mullins, son of Leveda Erlene (Stevens) Mullins and the late Irvin Gale Mullins, was born July 15, 1947, at Alva, Oklahoma, and passed away suddenly at his home June 25, 2009, at the age of 61 years, 11 months, and 10 days.
After Allen graduated from Waynoka High School he earned his teaching degree at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He taught and coached in Freedom, Waynoka, Pioneer, and in Kansas for several years. He then returned to Waynoka where he farmed and ranched. In June, 2000, he was united in marriage to Carrie Macey. They made their home east of Waynoka.
Allen was active in the Waynoka First Christian Church. He was proud to be a member of the Rowdy Rangers and the Waynoka Saddle Club.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kent Mullins.
Allen is survived by his wife, Carrie, of Waynoka; one son, Travis Mullins and wife, T. J., of Salt Lake City, Utah; three daughters, Kimberly Kay Watkins of Waukomis; Marsha Bowers of Woodward, and Tiffany Lane of Houston, Texas; his mother,Erlene Mullins,of Waynoka;one brother, Kelly Mullins and wife, Georgia, of Quinlan; 10 grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for cancer research.
