| | | Graveside services for Cheryl Sue Herrington will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2009, at the Alva Municipal Cemetery. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.
Cheryl Sue Herrington, daughter of the late Walter and Eleanor Piper, was born February 23, 1945, at Kansas City, Missouri, and passed away October 24, 2009, at Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 64 years, 8 months, and 1 day.
After Cheryl graduated from Branson High School, she received her nursing degree from St. Mary’s College in Wichita, Kansas. In 1984, she was united in marriage to Jan Herrington at Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked as a nurse at Boeing in Wichita for 28 years. She moved to Alva two years ago.
She attended the Methodist Church. She enjoyed helping people and caring for the elderly.
Cheryl is survived by one son, McCelvie Herrington; and one brother, Richard Piper and wife, Marian, of San Antonio, Texas, other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for cancer research.
