| | | Memorial services for Linda Dorothy Solomon will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009, at the Kingdom Hall in Alva with Clayton Forest officiating. At her request, she was cremated under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC.
Linda Dorothy Solomon, daughter of the late Lloyd Edward and Gladys Genevieve (Fogleman) Plaskett, was born November 26, 1941, at San Francisco, California, and passed away November 1, 2009, at Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 67 years, 11 months, and 5 days.
Linda attended school in San Francisco, California. She had to quit school to care for her mother who had cancer, but later received her GED. On January 16, 1975, she was united in marriage to Terry Richard Solomon at Milbrae, California. They lived in Suttercreek, California, before moving to Jacksonville, Florida, where they lived for 20 years. They moved to Waynoka 3 years ago.
She was a member of Jehovah’s Witness. She enjoyed photography, especially taking pictures of wildlife.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Matt Solomon. She was, also, preceded by her stepfather, Gilbert Thorneberry, who raised her from the age of two.
Linda is survived by her husband, Terry, of Waynoka; two sons, Marty Solomon of Manteca, California, and Michael Solomon of St. Augustine, Florida; one daughter, Laurie Ruggiero of Salmon, Idaho; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall.
