Ruth H. Kilbury



WESTFIELD-Ruth H. (Johnson) Kilbury, age 98, of So. Portage Street, Westfield, NY, died Tuesday, November 02, 2004 at Westfield Memorial Hospital in Westfield, New York following a brief illness.

She was born February 28, 1906 in Celeron, New York the daughter of Charles and Ethel (Conner) Johnson.

Ruth attended Jamestown, NY Schools and lived most all of her adult life in Erie, PA. She recently moved to Westfield to be with her daughter. She was a dedicated homemaker who greatly enjoyed her family especially her Grandchildren, great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. While in Erie she had been employed by GE and Gloecklers Mfg. during WW II.
Ruth enjoyed cooking and baking, crocheting, traveling, and reading prior to losing her eyesight. She loved animals and trees.

Survivors include her 2 daughters;
Betty S. Ward of Westfield, NY, and Ethel "Peg" Kilbury of North East, PA,
her 2 sons; Charles Kilbury of Pasadena, CA, and Robert Kilbury of Aurora, OH.
Her 19 Grandchildren; Scott LaVange Shelly LaVange, Gene (Max) Kilbury, Jr., Bonnie Kaylor , Colleen Sutton , Lynda Gressner , George, David, Harry, Stephen and Mary Ward , Julie Holland, Jeaneanne Colwell , Scott Kilbury , Lisa Vuyovich, Susan Crawford, Karin Haile, Robin Witycyak, and Mark Kilbury. Also survivced by 22 Great Grandchildren and 15 Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd S. Kilbury who died in 1959, her father, Charles Johnson, and her mother, Ethel (Conner) Johnson, her son Gene D. Kilbury , her grandson, Michael Ward , her Great Granddaughter Kristie Ward and her sister, Genevieve Samuelson Johnson.

Friends may call at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield, NY
on Friday from 4-7 PM, where Funeral Services will be held Saturday,
November 6, 2004 at 10:00 A.M.
Rev. Lyle Leach of the Dewittville CMA Church will officiate.
Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Erie.
