Obituary Notice
Dorothy B. Moses
Dorothy B. "Dott" Moses, age 90, of 40 Spring St., Westfield, NY, died Sunday, November 28, 2004 at the home of her daughter in Westfield, New York.
She was born April 27, 1914 in Ripley, New York the daughter of Grant and Bessie (Reardon) Barnhart.
A Westfield area resident most all her life, she was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #517 of Westfield. She was an avid bowler who helped her team win the State Bowling Championship in 1946. She collected records and enjoyed listening to them and most types of music. She was an avid reader and loved to watch Ice Skating Competitions on TV.
Her greatest enjoyment came from her family, especially spending quality time with her grandchildren. She anticipated with great joy the expected birth of her 12th great grandchild this winter.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law
Lynn and Charles Raynor of Westfield, NY, her daughter in law and caregiver, Peggy Darling of Mayville, NY, her 7 grandchildren: Stacy Spitale of Sinclairville, NY, Kathy Johnson of Cape Coral, FL, Tyler Francis, Jr. of Cape Coral, FL, Dana Baker of Westfield, NY, Lora Reed of Westfield, NY, Robyn Ptak of Westfield, NY and Leslee Reed of Jamestown, NY, 11 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father, Grant Barnhart, and her mother, Bessie (Reardon) Barnhart, Ellsworth Ross Francis (First Husband), Harcourt Clifford Moses (Second Husband), Tyler Ross Francis (Son), Deborah Walker (Granddaughter), Agnes Jackson (Sister), Lawrence Barnhart (Brother).
Visitation will be at MASON Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12 noon until 1 PM
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at MASON Funeral Home. Rev. Mary Krahn , Chaplain of Hospice of Chautauqua County will be officiating.
