Ralph Eugene Archer, Sr.
Ralph Eugene Archer, Sr., age 62, of East Main Road, Westfield, NY, died Sunday, January 09, 2005 at Westfield Memorial Hospital in Westfield, New York.
A Westfield area resident most all his life, he lived for a short time in Ripley. He attended Westfield Academy and Central School and had been employed by Ralph Spicer Fisheries and had been a grape farmer working for Schultz Vineyard, Vilardo Vineyards and Sinden Vineyard as well as for Johnson Winery. He had also been employed by Westfield Disposal for several years. Most recently he was employed by the Waters of Westfield as a Linen Driver. He attended the West Portland Baptist Church. Ralph's hobbies included Hunting and fishing, NASCAR as a Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Fan and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed working on Cars at the Stateline Speedway. He was a member of the JW Dill Post 434 American Legion of Brocton.
He was born October 15, 1942 in Westfield, New York the son of the late Roy and Ruth (Spicer) Archer.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years,
Patricia A. (Emery) Archer of Westfield, NY, his daughter Michelle Logan of Brocton, NY, his son Ralph E. Archer, Jr. of Westfield, NY, his 3 grandchildren, his sister Charlotte Black of Brocton, NY, and his brother Richard Archer of Ripley, NY.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Archer, and his mother, Ruth (Spicer) Archer.
Visitation will be at MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at West Portland Baptist Church. Rev. Gary Henry of West Portland Baptist Church will be officiating. Private burial will be in the Westfield Cemetery.
