Eva A. Ressler
Eva A. Ressler, age 81, of Anniston Road , Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Westfield, died Saturday, March 12, 2005 at home in Florida.
She was born April 11, 1923 in Westfield, New York the daughter of the late Harold and Linnie (Lehman) Simpson.
A Westfield area resident most all her life, she moved to Jacksonville in 1996. She was a member of the Class of 1941 of Westfield Academy. Mrs. Ressler had been the owner and operator of the former Cove Restaurant and Bar on Rt. 5 for many years. She had attended St.James Major RC Church of Westfield.
Survivors include her daughter Kathryn Dotson of Jacksonville, FL, her two sons, John J. Ressler of Ocala, FL, and James R. "Jamie" Ressler of Westfield, NY, her 5 grandchildren, as well as her two brothers, Richard "Dick" Simpson of St. Petersburg, FL, and James T. Simpson of Westfield & Florida, and by her sister Norma Jean Swartzott of Cheektowaga, NY.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, who died on March 18, 2004, her father, Harold Simpson, and her mother, Linnie (Lehman) Simpson, her son, Theodore "Ted" Ressler and her sister Marjorie Scholton.
Visitation will be at MASON Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 PM
Funeral services will be held Friday morning, March 18, 2005 at 11 AM in the MASON Funeral Home. Fr. Daniel Young of St. James Major RC Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery in Westfield.
