Catherine Adele Judkins



C. Adele (Burgess) Judkins, 95, of Burr Road, Brocton, NY, died Thursday, March 24, 2005 at home with her family by her side.

She was born July 06, 1909 in Mt. Vernon, New York the daughter of the late Franklin and Anna Louise (Heimerle) Burgess.

Adele was a resident of the Brocton / Portland area since 1985, when she and her late husband moved here from Bradford, PA to be closer to their daughter. While in the Bradford area, she had been a Charter member of the Rew, PA Vol. Fire Dept. and had been active in the Order of the Eastern Star of Rew.
She had been employed by Spear Resistor Corp. of Bradford as a Quality Control Inspector. She assisted her late husband Harry with his Trapping Business. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and her involvement with the Brocton / Portland Sr. Citizens Group.

Survivors include her daughter Ruth Anne Delcamp with whom she made her home. Many Grandchildren and Several great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, her father, Franklin Burgess, and her mother, Anna Louise (Heimerle) Burgess, and her son James David Judkins.

Visitation will not be observed. Funeral services will be held privately.
