Obituary Notice
Jennie A. VandeVelde



Jennie A. VandeVelde, age 88, of Holt Street, Westfield, NY, died Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at The Waters of Westfield.

She was born April 15, 1917 in Westfield, New York the daughter of the late Angelo and Jennie (Bongiorno) Riscili.

A Westfield resident all her life, she was a graduate of Westfield Academy and a member of St. James Major Roman Catholic Church. She had been employed by the former WT Grant Co. as Cashier and later as Assistant Manager. She then worked for The Westfield Republican Newspaper as a Typesetter and retired as a Typesetter from Long and Holbrook Printers all in Westfield. She enjoyed sewing and baking and was an avid card and Scrabble player.

Survivors include her three sons:
Thomas, Carl and Michael VandeVelde all of Westfield, NY,
14 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband Russell, her father, Angelo Riscili, and her mother, Jennie (Bongiorno) Riscili, her daughter Carla VandeVelde, her son Russell VandeVelde, Jr., her granddaughter Jennie VandeVelde, her two sisters Margaret Faso and Frances Pagano as well as her brother George A. Riscili.

Visitation will be at MASON Funeral Home on Sunday, September 4th, 2005 from 3-6 PM

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 5, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Major RC Church. Fr. Daniel Young of St. James Major RC Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery in Westfield.
