| | | Roseanna Kay "Rosie" (Vance) Mills, age 49, of Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY, died Monday, November 7, 2005 at the home of her mother in law, Peggy Mills, in Westfield, New York, with her family by her side following a courageous seven year battle with cancer.
She was born on June 21, 1956 in Niagara Falls, New York the daughter of the late Clarence “Larry” Vance and Thelma (Blake) Vance Cattarin of Niagara Falls, NY.
A Niagara County resident most all her life, she was a graduate of Niagara Falls Schools and the Kelley Business Institute. She had been employed by Stella Niagara Education Park as a Cook and most recently was employed ny First Niagara Bank in Ransomville as a teller. She greatly enjoyed her family and grandchildren and was known for her cooking ability.
Surviving besides her mother of Niagara Falls, NY is her husband of 13 years, Kenneth P. Mills, her son Thomas Vance and her daughter Shannon Mills both of Ransomville and her son Joshua Mills of Amherst, NY. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Maria Rose Vance and Damian Mills of Ransomville. Also surviving are her 2 sisters, Pamela (Vance) Watson of Lewiston, NY and Debra Gandt of Niaraga Falls, NY and her brother William Blake of West Virginia. Also surviving is her Step-father Jim Cattarin also of Niagara Falls, NY.
Besides her father she was preceded in death by her 2 brothers Charles and David Vance and her sister Betty Blake Watson.
No calling will be observed. Funeral Services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
