| | | WESTFIELD-Caroline Ann “Carrie” Nicosia, age 89, of East Main Street, Westfield died Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Waters Of Westfield.
Mrs. Nicosia was born April 5, 1916 in Westfield, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mamie (Tempio) DiPasquale.
She retired from Welch Foods, Westfield, NY as a Production Worker in 1981 after 30 years of service. Carrie was a member of St. James Major Roman Catholic Church, where she was very active in church affairs. She was a Past President of the St. James Major Altar And Rosary Society, and a recipient of the Diocesan Award of St. Joseph the Worker awarded by the then Bishop Edward Head. She was also a member of the Women Of The Moose Chapter 517 of Westfield.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Dugan of Stow, OH and her son David and his wife Suzanne Nicosia of Dunkirk, NY. Also survived by her five Grandchildren, Michelle Botticello of Forestville, NY, Christopher Nicosia of Dunkirk, Matthew, Jennifer and Erin Dugan all of Stow, OH and two Great Grandchildren, Nicholas Botticello of Forestville, NYand Kylie Dugan of Stow, OH. Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, Michael “Mike” Nicosia, who died on May 10, 1987, her brother, Anthony ”Tony” DiPasquale, and her two sisters Josephine Mazzuca and Angie DeRose
Friends may call on Friday from 3-5 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday at 10:30AM at St. James Major Roman Catholic Church, Westfield, with Father Daniel Young officiating.
Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
