| | | Westfield - Robert E. “Bob” Casler, age 68, of Spring Street, Westfield died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at home with his family by his side.
Bob was born on May 2, 1937 in Mayville, NY the son of the late Floyd and Charlotte (Thornton) Casler. He had been employed by the NYS Thruway Authority for 35 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator retiring in 1994 and then enjoyed working for CARTS as a driver. Bob enjoyed his home and his yard, however his family was his main love.
Mr. Casler was a member of United Methodist Church Of Westfield
and was a former member of the Loyal Order Of Moose Lodge # 118 and the Fire Department Of Westfield.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Marilyn J. (Park) Casler, who he married on Oct. 5, 1957 in Westfield, his daughter: Marcy L. Casler of Westfield, NY and his two sons: Jonathan R. Casler and Jerry D. Casler both of Westfield, NY.
He is also survived by his two brothers; Harold “Tip” Casler of Greenhurst, NY, William ”Dave” Casler of Mayville, and his twin sister, Roberta Vilardo of Westfield.
Bob is also survived by his three grandchildren, Matthew and Laura Casler and Colin McKinley all of Westfield. Many nieces And nephews also survive
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Barkely and his brother Lawrence Casler.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Monday at 3:00 PM in Westfield Cemetery, with Rev. Matthew Golibersuch officiating.
