| | | WESTFIELD-Frances Elizabeth (Wick) Wolfe, age 89, of Webster Road, Westfield died Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Westfield Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Mrs. Wolfe was born December 22, 1916 at Sandusky, OH the daughter of the late Frank and Elsie (Hoffman) Wick.
A Westfield resident since 1938 she came here from Sandusky, Ohio. She had been employed by George Laporte Grape Farm and had been very active in her community, including the Westfield Hospital Auxiliary, the American Heart Assoc., the American Cancer Society as well as several other civic organizations. Frances was know to many as ´the neighborhood Mom”. She was a member of the Portland Congregational Church.
She is survived by one daughter: Kathy (William) Bauer of Westfield, NY and one son: John Wolfe also of Westfield, NY and by her 2 grandsons; Michael Bauer of Jamestown, NY; and David Bauer of Olean, NY; as well as by her two Great Grandchildren, Kaitlyn And Evan Bauer of Olean, NY
She was Preceded in death by her husband, James R. Wolfe, who she married on May 6, 1936 in Sandusky, and who died on January 29, 1996 and by her brother, George Wick, and her sister, Josephine (Wick) Bickley.
No visiting will be observed. Funeral Services will be private.
