Mr. Richard B. "Dick" Caughey

WESTFIELD-Richard B. “Dick” Caughey, age 77, of Third Street, Westfield died Sunday, April 23, 2006 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie.

Mr. Caughey was born on December 3, 1928 at White Cottage, OH, a son of the late John S. and Anna (Shiplett) Caughey.

Dick was a graduate of Lash High School of Zanesville, OH and earned his batchelor degree from Muskingum College in New Concord, OH.

An area resident since the 1980´s Dick had been employed by Columbia Gas Corp. as a Petroleum Geologist and later opened his own company named OHNY Ventures.
He was a Korean War Veteran of the US Marine Corps and attained the rank of Lt. Col.
He retired from the USMC reserves.
He was an avid golfer and was an accomplished wood carver.
Dick was a member of The Loyal Order Of Moose Lodge # 118, and the John W. Rogers Post 327 American Legion, both of Westfield, as well as the Mayville VFW Post 8647, the American Assoc. of Petroleum Geologists, and LaFayette Lodge #079 F & AM of Zanesville, OH

He is survived by his wife: Sue Ann (Kendall) Caughey who he married on May 27,1954 in Zanesville, OH., and by his two brothers: Jack Caughey of Zanesville, OH, and Wayne Rambo of Pittsburgh, PA

No visiting will be observed. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
