WESTFIELD-Phyllis T. (Todd) Macer, age 79, of Cass Street, formerly of Bank St., Westfield died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Waters Of Westfield following an extended illness.

Phyllis was born on July 31, 1926 in Westfield, NY the daughter of the late Lloyd and Dorothy Irene (Large) Todd.

A Westfield resident all her life, Phyllis was a member of the Westfield Academy Class of 1945.
Phyllis had been employed ay the former Loblaws Grocery and in the Administrative Offices of AJAX Flexible Couplings both in Westfield. She had been active as a leader of both Girl Scouting and Boy Scouting. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Society of Westfield where she served on the Board of Deacons. For more than 40 years, she had been a volunteer at the Westfield Memorial Hospital both as a Gray Lady and in the X-Ray Dept. She loved the outdoors and was a member of the Westfield Garden Club. She was an avid bird watcher and would make a yearly trip to Hawk Mt. near reading, PA to hike and watch birds.
She traveled to the Galapagos Islands with her daughter to watch birds, hike, scuba dive and enjoy the island paradise. An lover of all animals, she loved her cats, Andy and Mandy.

Survivors include her Husband of 59 Years, Arthur J. Macer, Jr. who she married on August 16, 1946 in Westfield. Her two daughters: Bonnie Lancaster of Westfield, NY and Valerie Macer of Buffalo, NY and her son: Robert Macer of Portland, OR. She is also survived by her sister: Marion Hiller of Westfield, NY as well as three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lloyd Todd.

No visitation will be observed. Friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 11:00 at The First Presbyterian Church And Society Of Westfield, 49 So. Portage St., Westfield with Rev. Dr. Arthur Webster officiating.
Burial will be private.

Flowers are gratefully declined. The family suggests memorials to the First Presbyterian Church and Society, 49 So. Portage St., Westfield, NY 14787
