David Lee Treat Sr.

Jennings: Funeral services will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings, LA on Saturday, March 3, 2012 @ 10 AM honoring the life of David Lee Treat, Sr., age 71, who was called to heaven March 1, 2012. David will be laid to rest in Garden of Angels Cemetery with Rev. Wade Lormand officiating his services.

David Lee was born on July 16, 1940 in Porthmount, Ohio to the late Harold and Helen Sanders Treat. He retired as a highly decorated first sergeant in the military. David served his country honorably for 26 years serving 10 years in the Unites States Air Force and 16 years in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. David loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a fun loving personality and loved telling jokes. He also enjoyed hunting and going on cruises. David was survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Mary Jane Leleaux of Jennings, one daughter Vicki Mallett (Wilson) also of Jennings, one son David Lee Treat, Jr. (Krista) of Jennings, three grandchildren Heather Treat, Jordan Owens, and Peyton Treat, three great grandchildren Breayah, Baylor, and Sagan, and his brother Danny Ray Sanders of Paris, TN

David now rests in heaven with his parents Harold and Helen and his beautiful granddaughter Shyla Owens

Carrying David to his eternal resting place in the Garden of Angels will be Wilson Mallett, Mike Navarre, Roger Leleaux, Ken Daniel, Mike Leleaux, and Peyton Treat. Honorary pallbearers will be Heather, Breayah, and Jordan.

Visitation will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home on Friday, March 2nd from 3 PM until 9 PM and resume on Saturday at 8 AM until the time of his funeral service.
