| Arthur Richard Bickel Jr., 69, of Radcliff, KY passed away peacefully Friday, June 29, 2012 at his residence with his family by his side after fighting a brave battle with esophageal cancer.
Mr. Bickel Jr. was retired from the United States Army. He was recipient of the Bronze Star & 2 Purple Hearts during his 21 years of service. He was also a member of V.F.W. Post #10281, Vine Grove, KY. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Avritt Allen; and a grandson, Ryan Allen His survivors include: His loving wife, Susie Bickel of Radcliff, KY; 4 children, Arthur Bickel III of Texas, Candy Cook & her husband, Harry of Radcliff, KY; Richard Bickel of Radcliff, KY; Sony Steier & her husband, Joe of Louisville, KY, Peter Avritt & his wife, Stephanie of Louisville, KY; 9 grandchildren, Pierce Bickel, Joseph Steier, Phillip Roth, Jackie Steier, Kylie Roth, Luke Steier, Ava Steier, Christina Avritt & Bella Avritt. Mr. Bickel Jr.’s funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, Kentucky with military honors Visitation will be at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and after 9 AM on Tuesday. | ||
