| | | Donna A. Berkenbile, 62, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3775 Middle Rd. in Bettendorf where she was a member. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church or Trinity Pathway Hospice.
She was born April 14, 1947 in Moline, Illinois, the beloved daughter of Keith & Dorothy (Shoemaker) Ewing and was a graduate of Moline High School.
On May 20, 1967, she was united in marriage to Glen W. Berkenbile in Moline. Donna enjoyed roller skating and she & Glen met for the first time at Skateland in Moline.
She was a devoted wife & homemaker and enjoyed going to garage sales & flea markets.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Glen; her sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Theresa & Jeff Loiselle of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; her niece, Amanda Thomas of Chetek, Wisconsin and several cousins.
Donna was preceded in death by her twin sons, David & Dean; and by her parents.
