| | | Marion B. Anderson, 85, a resident of Bettendorf, died Monday, January 5, 2004 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A. M. Thursday, January 8, 2004 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bettendorf. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 P.M. at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church to be used for the Food Pantry and the Good Samaritan Fund.
Marion was born September 7, 1918 in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of Lester and Frieda (Hunt) Neal. Mrs. Anderson was united in marriage to Edward V. Anderson on August 9, 1937 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1996. Mrs. Anderson and her husband lived and raised a family in Moline, Illinois. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Moline for over 50 years and then transferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bettendorf. Mrs. Anderson was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Candice and Earle Benjamin, Davenport; and her grandchildren, Eric and Laura Benjamin.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and a brother.
