| | | Donald R. Anderson, 75, of Bettendorf, died Friday, May 21, 2004 at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM on Monday, May 24, 2004 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at McCausland Cemetery, McCausland, IA. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Donald was born on April 30, 1929 in Princeton, IA, the son of Clement F. & Mabel (Stichter) Anderson. He married Reba Carber on May 5, 1956 in McCausland. Donald farmed his whole life alongside his aunt and uncle and had worked for Dean Fry Construction for 25 years. He enjoyed horses, gardening, and especially traveling throughout the countryside. He had also served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and was a member of the Moose Lodge, Chapter 106 in Davenport.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 48 years, Reba; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey & Wendy Anderson, Calumus IA; his granddaughter, Emily Anderson, Calumus; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet & Bob Woollard, Darlene Dailey, Bonnie & Arnie Rochau, and, Thelma & Tom Ehredt, Pat Hendricks, Peggy Roman, and Connie & Dale Baughman; and his special aunt, Wanda Anderson of McCausland. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Sonny Anderson, his uncle, Ruebin Anderson, and his brothers-in-law, Lloyd Dailey and Lee Hendricks.
