| | | Florence Anna Baldwin, 95, a resident of Independence, Iowa and formerly of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence.
Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Riverview Freewill Baptist Church, Bettendorf.
She was born in Waterloo, Iowa on October 20, 1911, the daughter of Will & Sara (Zar) Hollar. She was married to Elton Baldwin on June 15, 1929 in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1982.
Florence had been employed at Seifert’s Clothing, J. I. Case Company, Davonshire and Servus Rubber in Rock Island, Illinois.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Juanita (Jack) Widner of Independence and Barbara Morgan of Tampa, Florida; her sons, Cleo (Nancy) Baldwin of Bettendorf and David Baldwin in South Carolina; twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sons, three daughters, two grandchildren, two sisters and four brothers
