I was very sorry to hear of Butch passing away in that accident. I didn't know him very well, but he was a nice man, and I know he was wonderful to his wife, Nicole. Nicole, I know this is not what you want to hear, but hang on to faith and cling to God, and He will get you through the next several months. If you ever need an ear, just e-mail me at javaj39@hotmail.com or call. You will be ok, because that's what Butch would want. | From: Johnna Kellums 09/27/2005 11:09 PM

I am still in shock from hearing about the death of Butch, with the pain of losing Kristen forever remaining fresh in our hearts. I considered them both my aunt and uncle growing up. I remember so clearly them at my wedding and Kristen volunteering as always to help out with anything I needed and Butch always brought laughter and a smile to those around him. Butch just like Kris will be greatly missed. On behalf of the entire Smith family I want to extend our deepest simpathy and condolences for your loss. You are forever in our prayers. I know that both Kristen and Butch are with our heavenly father and they are watching over their beautiful boys. To Brian, Michael and Charles your parents loved you so much and will always be with you. God Bless you all from the Smith Family - Davenport

God Bless. | From: Scott Dolquist 09/21/2005 11:28 PM

I was so very shocked and saddened to read the death of Butch. I met him when he worked for the Casino Rock Island. When he transferred to the slot dept he was one of my supervisors. He gave me a great evaluation, and told me not to let some of the guests bother me who would give me a hard time. He was liked by so many when he worked for the company. He will not be forgotten. Thinking of you! | From: Connie 09/21/2005 09:16 AM
