Sherrl R. Darnell, 62, of Princeton, Iowa, died Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Boll’s Community Center in Princeton. A committal service will be held in May at Yellow Lake in Webster, Wisconsin. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Princeton Volunteer Fire Department or a charity of the donor’s choice.
Sherrl was born December 12, 1946 in Davenport, the daughter of Robert T. & Donna (Wood) Maher. She was united in marriage to Jim Darnell on October 23, 1981 in Princeton. He preceded her in death in 2005.
Sherrl was a lifelong homemaker and she especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Kerry (Dave) Madden, of Donahue, Iowa and Amy (Jeff) Schneeberger of Princeton; her son, Jim Klemme, of Princeton; her grandchildren, J.J. Suiter, Joe Suiter, Lexi Suiter and Jackson Klemme; her step-grandchildren, Niki Madden, Jake Madden, Kalina Schneeberger and Andrew Schneeberger; her brother and best friend, Robert T. Maher, III of Princeton; her niece, Monica (Troy) Gagne and their family; her nephew, Clint (Angie) Maher and their family; her aunt, Bernice “Jo” Kotacka of Bettendorf; and many other cousins and friends.
In addition to her husband, Jim, Sherrl was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Teresa Renee.
