Brian C. Keranen, 37, a resident of Hancock passed away suddenly Friday June 12, 2009. He was born on July 23, 1971, in Detroit, a son of Carl V. Keranen and the late Eila (Rantala) Keranen. As a child, he moved to make his home in Hancock and graduated from the Hancock High School with the class of 1989. Brian was also a graduate of Michigan Technological University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Keranen was employed as a technician & broadcaster for WMPL Radio in Hancock for over the past 15 years. Also preceding him in death was his brother Burton Keranen. Surviving are: His father: Carl Keranen of Hancock His brothers: Andy Hoholek of Hancock Michael (Vivian) Hoholek of Detroit, MI His sisters: Cindy (Don) Smale of Fenton, MI Brenda Shoesmith of Three Rivers, MI Doreen Burcar of Dollar Bay Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins Funeral services for Brian will be held 12 noon Wednesday June 17, 2009, in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Pastor David Knell to officiate. Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock. Friends may call on Wednesday June 17, 2009, from 11 am until time of services at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock.
