Hancock
Catherine A. (Ronald) Kallio, 66, a resident of Hancock, passed away Sunday June 14, 2009, at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium where she had been a resident patient for the past 3 days following a lengthy illness.
She was born on September 9, 1942, in Laurium, a daughter of the late Walfred and Marie (Mongeau) Lokojarvi. As a child she attended the Calumet Schools.
On July 1, 1961 she was united in marriage to Ronald Kallio. The couple has resided in Copper City, Laurium, and for over the past 45 year have made their home in Hancock.
Mrs. Kallio was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Hancock where she was active with the church choir, she was also a member of F.O.E. Aerie #2211 of South Range. Cathy loved to cook, bake, and spend time with her family. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all.

Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins
A memorial service for Catherine will be held 11 am Thursday June 18, 2009, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Hancock with Rev. Jimalee Jones & Licensed Lay Minister Clay Himan to officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery of Ahmeek.
