Lena (Rainwater) Zimmerman, age 93 passed away Wednesday evening, March 25, 2009 at The Waters of Covington Nursing Home in Covington. She was a resident of Morgantown.

Lena was born November 17, 1915 in Brown County to the late Charles L. and Sinie (Kelley) Rainwater. She married Donald C. Zimmerman on November 23, 1935 in Brown County. He preceded her in death after fifty-five loving years on June 18, 1991.

Survivors include one daughter: Phyllis M. Willis of Covington and one son: Donel G. and his wife Sharon Zimmerman of Morgantown. One sister: Emma Zimmerman of Lafayette; one brother: Glenn and his wife Alma Rainwater of Morgantown; four grandchildren: Lisa Collier of North Liberty, Lennie Zimmerman of Trafalgar, Ron Willis of Covington and Debbie Willis of Covington; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by two grandsons: Jed & Mark Zimmerman; one sister: Lucille Rainwater; two brothers: Charles & Raymond Rainwater; one son in law: Lloyd Willis.

Lena was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Nineveh Christian Church and attended the Morgantown Assembly of God Church. Lena was a past member of the Nineveh Eastern Star. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Lena helped her husband for many years on the family farm.

The Rev. Mike Wagner will conduct a funeral service 12:00 pm Saturday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 11:00 am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery Morgantown.

Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Lena to the Morgantown Assembly of God Church 340 Hoosier Street Morgantown, IN 46160.
