Farris L. Couch, age 74 died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at his residence in Brown County. He was born June 17, 1934, in Hyden, KY, to the late Monroe and Bessie (Feltner) Couch. He married Bonnie Jean (Brewer) Couch on July 14, 1955 in Indianapolis. She lovingly survives. Other survivors include one daughter: Sondra Kay (David) Cline of Morgantown; four sons: William (Cynthia) Couch, Charles (Catrina) Couch & Anthony (Linda) Couch all of Brown County and Kevin (Kimberly) Couch of Edinburgh; one brother: Paul Couch of Brown County; one sister: Faye Smith of Indianapolis; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sisters: Drucilla Asher & Mary Ann Sizemore; three brothers: Golden, Bob & Charles Couch; one grandson: Cory Couch. Farris retired in 1992 as a Pipe Layer from Central Engineering & Construction Company in Indianapolis after thirty-seven years of service. He enjoyed his home in Brown County where he worked in his flower & vegetable gardens and hunted for ginseng. Farris loved to deer hunt, play pool, poker and listen to Bluegrass Gospel Music. He was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana University Basketball. Farris loved to tell stories and joke around with his family and friends. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, noon at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 10 am until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh.
