Shirley Ann (Frazier) Goens, age 69 passed away Friday evening, May 22, 2009 at Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. She was a resident of Nashville. Shirley was born August 9, 1939 in Johnson County to the late Arnold and Frances (Duhamell) Frazier. She married Donald C. Goens on June 17, 2000 in London, Kentucky. He lovingly survives. Other survivors include two sons: Anthony Stevens & William J. Stevens both of Brown County; one brother: Harold "Rick" Frazier of Florida; one sister: Janet Frazier of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Annette Fannin; one sister: Phyllis Watson; two brothers: Jerry & Donald Frazier. Shirley retired as an In Home Health Care provider in Brown County after four years of service. Prior to that, she worked as a Bartender at the Indianapolis Moose Lodge for eleven years and as a Private Contractor with the United States Government for twelve years. Shirley was a member of the Bear Creek Church in Brown County, American Legion in Columbus and AMVETS in Pendleton. She enjoyed fishing, camping and boating. Shirley loved to travel and sing. The Rev. Donald Kinser will conduct a Celebration of Life Service 6 pm Thursday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown.
