| | | Marilynn E. (Zimmerman) Adams, age 75 passed away Thursday evening, July 30, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Trafalgar.
Marilynn was born December 29, 1933 in Brown County to the late Denzel L. and Jessie (Rund) Zimmerman. She married her loving husband of forty-eight years: Irvin C. Adams on May 30, 1952 in Trafalgar. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2001.
She was much loved by her daughter: Kim E. (Joe) Lesko and their children: Tova N. and Ray M. Lesko all of Trafalgar. Marilynn will be remembered by her sister: Jody (Gary) Ogden of Indianapolis and her brother: David (Linda) Zimmerman of Trafalgar.
Marilynn was a 1951 graduate of Helmsburg High School in Brown County and was a twenty year member of the Samaria Christian Church. She was an active volunteer for the Indian Creek Intermediate School.
Marilynn was a loving mother and homemaker. She retired in 1990 as an Administrative Assistant for the Carpenters Union Local 1775 in Columbus after 10 years of service. Prior to that, Marilynn held the same position at Stout Field in Indianapolis.
She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Marilynn had a passion for the outdoors and working in her yard. She was a collector of antiques and enjoyed socializing with her friends at the local restaurants.
The Rev. Doug Adams will conduct a funeral service 10:30 am Thursday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Marilynn to the American Breast Cancer Association, 113 Redbud Lane Martinez, GA 30907.
