| | | Sharon Springs- Viola Mae Bouton, 65, formerly of Richmondville, died Friday, February 20, 2009, at Marchand Manor after being strickened.
Mrs. Bouton was born May 27, 1943 in Roxbury, NY.
She was a Schoharie County resident for most of her life and loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, needlepoint, and her family.
Mrs. Bouton was predeceased by her husband, Charles D. Bouton, who died August 15, 2004.
She is survived by her son, Wayne L. (Linda Stephens) Bouton of Warnerville, NY, a Grandson, Jacob J. Bouton of Warnerville, NY, and her very close friend, Florence VanAllen of Sharon Springs, NY.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM, on Monday, February 23, 2009 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY with the Rev. Marvin Batcher of the Richmondville United Methodist Church officiating. A calling hour will be held from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm prior to the Funeral Service. Burial will be in Richmondville Rural Cemetery in the spring.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Schoharie County Office of the Aging, 113 Park Place, Suite 3, Schoharie, NY 12157.
