Gilboa- Mrs. Helen Krieger Maybie went home to God on April 15, 2009 at the age of 94.
A daughter of the late Earl and Florence (Mulligan) Krieger, she was born on July 22, 1914 in Gilboa, NY.
Helen was a farmer’s wife for many years, and loved to farm. She loved animals, gardening, and most of all to give lots of hugs.
She belonged to the Historical Society of Gilboa. Helen was of Catholic faith and was a communicant of St. Catherine’s Church in Middleburgh.
Helen was loved by everyone and she will be missed deeply.
She is survived by her cousins, nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, and one sister, Florence Mulligan of Gilboa.
A funeral liturgy was held on Friday, April 17, 2009 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River Street, Middleburgh. Father Thomas Holmes of St. Catherine’s Church was the celebrant. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Stamford, NY.
