Duluth, GA- Terry Michael Baird, of Deluth, GA, died unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, May 11, 2009.
Terry was born January 2, 1950 in Cobleskill, a son of Shirley (Osterhout) Baird and the late Kenneth C. Baird.
A graduate of Milford Central School, Terry also was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He had resided in Georgia for the past twenty-five years.
Terry was a self employed contractor and was known for his musical abilities.
He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth C. Baird, his brother, Kenneth D. Baird, and his step-father, Willard Shafer.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Baird Shafer of Middleburgh; 5 brothers: David (Laura) Baird of Middleburgh, Dennis (Brenda) Baird of Marietta, GA, Brian Baird of Middleburgh, and Timothy Baird of Coventry, RI, and Randy (Po) Baird of Bushnell, FL; 2 sisters: Mary Baird of Duluth, GA, and Pamela Baird (Ronald) Pier of Milford, NY; a step-brother, Roger (Linda) Shafer of Central Bridge, NY; a step-sister, Linda (Jay) Young; an uncle, Walter Baird of Ocala, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private at the family’s request. Burial will be in Breakabeen Cemetery, Breakabeen, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
