| | | Summit- Marie Hyatt, 66, formerly of Richmondville, died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Albany Medical Center following a brief illness.
Marie was born November 15, 1942 in Carmel, NY, the daughter of Helen Marie Fisher. She and her husband, Larry E. Hyatt, Sr., operated the Village Restaurant in Richmondville, NY, for many years.
Marie found enjoyment doing crafts, cooking, and baking. She was also very active as a volunteer doing fundraisers for Richmondville Rural Cemetery Association.
She was predeceased by her husband, Larry, on October 8, 2006.
Survivors include her four sons: Larry E. (Sandra) Hyatt, Jr. of Sharon Springs, Robert K. (Lisa) Hyatt of Richmondville, James (Helen) Hyatt of Wingdale, NY, and Ronald Hyatt of Summit; her sister, Kathleen Cullins of Kentucky; 3 granddaughters: Audrey, Katey, and Mary Hyatt; and one great-granddaughter: Alexis Richter.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009 at the Richmondville Rural Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Messner. There will be no calling hours.
