Mary A. Greening, 88, of Pleasant Valley Rd., died Friday October 30, 2009 at the A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, NY following a brief illness.
Mrs. Greening was born on August 28, 1921 in Scranton, PA., a daughter of the late Esther (Loftus) and Edward J. Rogan.
She retired from the Bedford School District in Mt. Kisco, NY where she worked as a kitchen manager. Mrs. Greening enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley, formerly St. Catherine’s Church, in Middleburgh, NY.
Mrs. Greening was predeceased by her first husband: John Greening; second husband: Olaf Gabrielsen and 2 brothers: Harvey and Robert Rogan.
She is survived by her daughter: Mary Lynn (George) Sherwood of Fultonham, NY; sons: John (Denise) Greening of Northford, CT, Robert (Viola) Greening of Millbrook, NY and Ronald (Kerrie) Greening of New Fairfield, CT. 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place at the Vale crematory in Schenectady, NY.
